Tuesday 7th June – bike *** – Landguard for lunch – sunny and
warm.
The nice weather returns with a sunny, warm day, so a lovely morning doing
my exercises in the warm sunshine while Mag sorts her beautiful little
garden out after some wet and windy days! We visit an old friend on Tuesday
afternoons but as it was so nice, we decided to take our lunch, a yummy
tuna salad down to the jetty at Landguard on our bikes:) We leave home at 1
taking the usual route through Langer Park, I make a detour to the view
point while Mag heads straight to our spot on the old pier. The yellow foot
ferry had just set of the Harwich and the large dredger, the Rotterdam was
working close in dredging the deep-water channel slowly! I joined Mag to
enjoy the view, several sea anglers about today too and the lorry ferry
came in too. Well rested to return through the nature reserve to Felixstowe
prom and along to Bent Hill, through the town centre to our friends for a
catch-up chat with cake:) Then home where I learn that my new foil is not
due in until the end of the month meaning my old Fanatic longboard will get
a few more runs out! Tomorrow is looking promising, so fingers crossed I
can get out as will miss Friday the windiest looking day as we off to visit
the Grandson Arlo, first time we have been down there for nearly two
years!
